So if you have not noticed the recent update to my website, here is my logo at long last. It was a joint endeavor as the horse head is from a friend of mine that is so amazingly talented. Let me know what you think!

Trendy Camera Strap

I got my first Trendy Camera Strap this weekend and LOOOVE it, I can't wait to use it on a shoot! I will post some pictures at a later date as I am still working out some software kinks, but check their site out. Green is my favorite color so I went with this one. Let me just say that it is the most comfortable strap ever!!! It is going to make a huge difference, and it looks awesome on top of it. My husband humored me by trying it on, but even he couldn't believe how comfortable it was.

So after receiving this a week ago as my welcome screen on the computer. I have it back after spending a week at the Apple ER. Turns out my video card had it and needed to be replaced. My husband says it is because I do everything at high settings and I should give it a break...but well I like my settings, so lets see how long this one lasts :D

2010

I am so excited for what this year has in store!

Happy New Years

Wow I can't believe that it is actually 2010! I am so very excited for what this new year has in store for my family and my business, and hopefully I will work on my blogging skills as they are still lacking lol.

I have met some great people in the latter part of 2009 and I look forward to building relationships with them and getting to know them better. I also can't wait to network more and put myself out there even when is scares me to death at times. I think some of those times that are scary end up being important and wonderful if you do not let fear stand in your way.

I am learning to accept that I am never going to be strong at the "business" side of things but that I can get better and learn more and every little bit helps. There are so many resources out there that I have not made the most of and I plan on changing that. God has blessed me with so much and I that I am able to even pick up a camera is such a blessing. I hope in the upcoming year that I can learn to listen more and talk less and use my gift not only for others, but also to glorify God. This probably appears as rambling, but hopefully as time goes on I will become better at putting my thoughts into words. I have so much going on in my head right now that I think things are overlapping when I try to voice them.

Clause 4 Paws

Ryan is taking dance at The Plano Dance Theatre and he is really enjoying the challenge. This year their Christmas show was Clause 4 Paws and benefited the no kill shelter in Carrolton, TX. They are an amazing group of people and do so much for the kids. I am learning about action shots and stage lighting without flash and definitely taking baby steps, but I am having a lot if fun learning so far out of my comfort zone. This time I ended up renting a lens (Canon's 70-200mm 2.8) that was better under the conditions and I had a lot of fun playing with it. Shawn told me not to cry when I took it back along with the 40D body I was using as well and I must say although it was hard not a tear was shed. I have plans to get my hands on a 40D in the very near future though and use my trusty Rebel XT and 10D as backups. Here are a few shots from the dress rehearsal of the incredibly talented dancers and of course some of Ryan :D we are so proud of him.
